Welcome to Mangoes Restaurant

Near the harbor in one of the town's most distinctive buildings, Mangoes is the best, and certainly the most popular, restaurant on the island, attracting both yachties and locals. It boasts a cedar-topped bar and a cathedral ceiling that soars above a deck jutting over the water. Chefs seem to try a little harder here, offering a typical menu along with a hint of island spirit. On the menu, grilled grouper gets dressed up a bit with mango and tomato, and cracked conch makes an appearance as well. Your best bet, as in nearly all Bahamian restaurants, is usually the fresh catch of the day. At lunch you can sample the restaurant's locally famous conch burger.

Order a Goombay Smash, Bahama Mama or Pina Colada from the bar, or opt for a bottle of French, Australian, Italian or Californian wine. Outdoor dining overlooks the harbour, and local musicians perform weekend nights. Catering is also available, perfect for beach trips or boat excursions.
